Drake's team denies reports that he was arrested in Sweden: Deets inside

Following the unfounded report of Drake's detention, followers shared the hashtag #FreeDrake on Twitter on July 14.

The team of well-known Canadian musician Drake has refuted claims that he was recently detained in Sweden.

Last night (July 14), rumors circulated on social media that the 35-year-old One Dance rapper had been arrested by neighborhood police at a Stockholm nightclub.

Soon after, as supporters spread the unfounded rumor of his imprisonment on marijuana-related charges, the hashtag 'Free Drake' started to trend on the internet.

However, representatives for the singer of God's Plan have recently told numerous news organizations that the report is untrue.

Drake is at his hotel and is not in custody, according to his representative.

According to reports, the musician arrived at Sweden's Arlanda airport on Wednesday (July 13). It is unknown, though, if the artist, who was born in Toronto, is there for business or pleasure.

The rapper surprised fans by releasing a brand-new album, titled Honestly, Nevermind. On Friday, June 17, at midnight, he released the album with only a brief announcement.
