This Legendary Billboard Hot 100 Record Is Held By Drake and Kendrick Lamar

Two of this generation's most productive rappers are Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The two have undoubtedly cemented their names as a pillar on Hip-Mount hop's Rushmore with their critically acclaimed singles and albums.

The two tough rappers, however, are not immune from weak songs like other musicians.

Drake and Kendrick Lamar now share a historic chart record on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, but it's not a good one.

This Billboard Hot 100 record is held by Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

The two prominent rappers are well recognized for their top-charting singles, bandmates, and collaborations. However, it appeared as though the two were currently sharing an unfavorable historical record.

According to a tweet from Chart Data, Kendrick Lamar and Drake are tied for having experienced the largest single-week decrease in the Billboard Hot 100's history with their songs Text Go Green and Green.

Sincerely, track three from Nevermind dropped 81 places after debuting at No. 13 in its first week and is currently at No. 94.

With the release of Drake's Text Go Green and Kendrick Lamar's We Cry Together, they have now accomplished the same historic achievement.

The news was released a few weeks after the Kendrick Lamar song, which peaked at No. 16 and fell as low as No. 97 on the all-singles list in June, saw a similar unfavorable outcome.

The critically praised double album Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers by Lamar includes the song We Cry Together.

What Caused "Text Go Green" To Be Dropped To The Bottom?

Because of its loud and boisterous sound, Text Go Green's tumble to the bottom of the Hot 100 charts is "more mistifying" than We Cry Together, according to HipHopDX.

Drake's Text Go Green has received more than 20.5 million global streams on the popular streaming service Spotify, in addition to the song's 2.5 million YouTube views, claims Kworb.

Despite the track's subpar performance Sincerity be damned, Nevermind continues to rule the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts.

After spending a week at the top, the album is now at No. 3, with Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti recovering the top place for a third week in a row.

Jimmy Cooks, who was at the top of the singles chart last week after also debuting at the top, is currently at position #5.
