Bulldog to Asamoah Gyan: "Ghanaians haven't asked you for retaliation against Uruguay."

Gyan has gained enormous popularity on social media as a result of his interview with the BBC, in which he explored the prospect of a comeback and compared it to Roger Milla's unexpected participation for Cameroon at the 1994 World Cup.

The now-36-year-old was a pillar of the Black Stars for more than 20 years after making his debut with the squad in 2003.

He hasn't been asked to play for the national team since his appearance at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

Over the past three years, Gyan has contended with minor illnesses, and his time playing for Ghana Premier League team Legon Cities was not successful.

Despite not having played much recently, he still plans to play in the World Cup in Qatar with the Black Stars.

Additionally, Gyan declared his wish to play Uruguay once more in a BBC interview after missing a penalty in the 2010 World Cup quarterfinals.

Bulldog said that while it's reasonable if Gyan wants to atone, nobody in Ghana has specifically asked for the striker to get revenge on him.

"Why is there retaliation? Do you believe Ghanaians desire retaliation? Are Ghanaians seeking retaliation, or are you? Have we stated that we seek retribution? When did we discuss getting even with you? He said on United Showbiz, "Why is he saying that?

He wants to make some corrections before retiring because, as a legend, he would want to do that. He performed admirably for Ghana, but the missed penalty has hurt.

"The situation is different now. He should stay at home if it's out of retaliation, the contentious artist manager continued.
