Tamale honors Black Sherif as "Youth Chief"

Due to his achievements in the music industry, musician Black Sherif has been named the Nachin Naa of Tamale by traditional leaders in the Northern Region.

The rapper was given the title, which translates to "Youth Chief," while touring the area to promote his debut album, "The Villain I Never Was," which was released on October 6.

A video of Black Sherif's inauguration on Monday, October 10, 2022, shows him getting dressed in a lavish African smock called a "Batakari" and a matching headdress.

A select number of young people from the hamlet were present to see the event, which took place in a special chamber.

The rapper's 14-track album, meanwhile, has already topped charts and garnered praise from the music industry. He has also had a lot of support from well-known figures in the local music scene, notably Sarkodie, Ghana's most accomplished rapper.
