Power Book 2: Ghost: Season 3 is done being filmed, Premiere date coming soon

A significant change will occur in a new season. As Power Book II: Ghost launches into its third season, everything is changing.

Showrunner Courtney Kemp transitions to the position of executive producer while Empire's Brett Mahoney assumes leadership duties behind the scenes.

Tariq's on-screen tale will just continue to become more difficult, so that's just the beginning of the changes being made to the show.

What exactly is in store, then? Here is all the information you require regarding upcoming events and the return date for the show.

According to Jeffrey Hirsch, president and chief executive officer of Starz, "the Power universe's sustained success and cultural relevance are unprecedented, and fans are obviously still hungry for more Power Book II: Ghost."

We can't wait for the third season of the acclaimed series to begin filming in the early part of 2019 before the release of Power Book IV: Force, the fourth entry in the rapidly growing franchise.

Here is all the information you need to know about season three of Power Book II: Ghost.

When could the third season of Ghost premiere? Power Book II

It seems like we've been waiting for information forever, and sadly, we're still waiting as of November because there is still no information on a date for the official release of Ghost season three.

That does not imply that we have no assets to offer. While we may not be able to predict when season three will premiere, we do know that filming is complete. A publication date is in the air.

The announcement was made on The Crew Has It podcast, which Gianni Paolo and Michael Rainey Jr. co-host.

Paolo said, "We wrapped; we're done filming.

Rainey jumped in, "Yeah, we just finished filming season three that y'all have been asking for, so we can finally give you... But now that we're done, that's all we can tell you. We can't give you a date because we don't know it yet. The rest is in development.

Rainey was gracious enough to imply that when it comes to season three, "they're coming in hot," even if they both remained mum about the specifics of what's to come.

Oh, that's what we were hoping to hear! As if we had ever anticipated anything else. Early in August, it was announced that filming was finished, which means we are getting tantalizingly close to at least learning when it will premiere, if not the actual release.

Season three may have a similar release date to season two, which would mean that it could be on our screens in a matter of months. Season two was released in the fall of 2020.

We regret that we are unable to provide you with any other details, but please check again later. If there is news to share with you, we'll let you know as soon as possible (fingers crossed).

Ghost season 3's cast members are listed in Power Book II.

We may anticipate him to return alongside the main cast, which also includes Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), son of James 'Ghost' St Patrick and Tasha Green-St Patrick.

Monet is portrayed by Mary J. Blige, Lorenzo Tejada by Berto Colon, Dru Tajada by Lovell Adams-Gray, Cane Tejada by Woody McClain, and Diana Tejada by LaToya Tondeo.

Brayden Weston is portrayed by Gianni Paolo, David Maclean by Cliff "Method Man" Smith, Cooper Saxe by Shane Johnson, and Theo Rollins by Redman.

Popular characters including Professor Carrie Milgram (Melanie Liburd), her high school sweetheart Ezekiel "Zeke" Cross (Daniel Bellomy), and Daniel Sunjata's Mecca/Danté Spears passed away in season two. That doesn't mean they won't come up again in flashbacks or later episodes, though. Keesha Sharp, the star of Lethal Weapon, will appear in season three as a recurring character in a significant role.

Professor Harper Bonet, "a progressive academic and bohemian beauty," will be portrayed by Sharp (via Deadline). We might anticipate hearing additional cast announcements as production picks up.

Gbenga Akinnagbe, Kyle Vincent Terry, and Caroline Chikezie were three other actors that had been added to the cast list, according to a March Deadline article.

Ron Samuel Jenkins, also referred to as RSJ, will be portrayed by Gbenga, who previously appeared on The Deuce. The corporate tycoon is familiar with the elite, having worked his way through college and Harvard Business School to reach his current position. Kyle, a Gotham star, will play Obi, a British-educated man who is equally adept at handling a brisk business deal as he is a firearm.

Noma is Caroline (of the Mayhem fame), a "worldly and powerful woman with a royal presence who has earned her money with an illicit worldwide empire and is not afraid to safeguard it by any means necessary," according to Deadline.

Power Book II: What will happen in the third season of Ghost?

After the shocking conclusion of season two, Monet will undoubtedly learn that her husband Lorenzo Tejada (Berto Colon) mistakenly killed her son Zeke.

Tariq, who initially wanted out of the drug business after killing Professor Jabari Reynolds (Justin McManus), has opted to stick around and take over as the new connect now that Mecca has disappeared.

On the other hand, Brayden betrayed Tariq when he set up his college girlfriend Lauren, whose body was discovered after a car accident. Brayden had previously saved Tariq from a life in prison after confessing to being the student selling drugs on campus and revealing himself as the CEO of their drug peddling app Course Correct.

In an interview with PopSugar, Rainey hinted, "I just know that Tariq's going to be making some money, and obviously, he's going to be fighting a lot because he's trying to figure out what's going on with Lauren and how her situation went because he doesn't really know what happened."

It will be challenging for [Brayden] to keep a secret from Tariq, she continued. You know Tariq is intelligent; he will come up with a solution. He will investigate everything in depth until he finds the answer.

"So there will undoubtedly be some ups and downs in [those] relationships, and that's one thing I'm looking forward to witnessing: the difficult journey they're about to embark on. It will be completely wild.

The NYPD detective Blanca Rodriguez (Monique Gabriela Curnen), who was revealed to be the officer assigned to confidential informant Mecca, made a surprise appearance in the finale. As she looks into Mecca's shooting, Blanca's return is bound to cause Tariq significant problems because she is holding a blurry photo of him.

Cooper Saxe teaming up with Prosecutor Jenny Sullivan (Paton Ashbrook) to reveal Davis MacLean's shady legal tactics will also help season three pick up steam. In the meantime, MacLean is attempting to have his brother Theo Rollins released from prison after being wrongfully convicted of a murder.

The only thing we can be sure of is that it won't let us down, which means we can at the very least anticipate the same degree of excitement as previous seasons, due to Rainey's comments from the The Crew Has It podcast.
